Whether you’re warming up for your tournament matches, or killing time before watching the finals, there will be plenty of chances for casual play at EVO APAC.

Tournament Games

Whenever tournaments are not underway, competitors are welcome to have warm-up casual matches on the consoles provided in the Stage Area.  Note that casual play on the tournament consoles is restricted to competitors only.

Super Street Fighter IV Casuals Area

The EVO APAC team will be providing a number of casual console stations for Super Street Fighter IV. These will be available for anyone to play at the scheduled times during the EVO APAC weekend. One of these console setups will be reserved for casual matches with Daigo Umehara. Anyone attending EVO APAC can secure a match with Daigo on Saturday via this thread on OzHadou, or you can simply join the queue and hope for the best.

Note that these casual SSF4 consoles will be unavailable once the SSF4 – APAC Finals begin on Sunday, however the TVs/monitors will become part of the BYO Console section during this period (see below).

Remember that arcade rules apply! Winner stays on, but if nobody else is waiting for a turn feel free to keep playing.

BYO Consoles

Space will be made available where people can setup their own consoles. While some TVs/monitors will be available for people to plug-in their own gear, it’ll be on a first come, first serve basis. People can also bring their own TV/monitor to guarantee they can play the casual games they want whenever they want.

Who can play?

With the exception of the Stage Area, casual play is available for anyone at the event. Whether you’re a spectator or tournament competitor, everyone is invited to play casual games at EVO APAC.
